Hello Everyone! I am Martin the new EVS volunteer at Dworek. I will be about until the end of next September and I hope to see some of you about!
Come join me for tea and biscuits while practising your language skills with an English native. These conversations will be a chance to practice your pronunciation while learning and sharing aspects about each others culture.
The conversations will be hosted at the Centrum Kultury Dworek Białoprądnicki and all abilities are welcome. I look forward to meeting you!

8/11 — 'Introduction': A chance to get to know each other and share our interests and passions. Tell us who you are, where you a from, and what you want to learn from these conversations.
15/11 — 'English Breakfast and the Sunday Lunch': In this conversation, we will talk about food. We shall go over the traditional English breakfast, and the best part of the British weekend: the Sunday lunch! What are the typical dishes from where you are from? What did you eat last weekend?
29/11 — 'Guy Fawkes Night and Autumn': Guy Fawkes Night is the typical and most English of festivals. Celebrating the foiling of a Gunpowder Plot it has become a festival of fireworks and bonfires. It is also an autumn festival and with Halloween, it makes for a festive week marking the coming of winter. What festivals do you have that are particular to your country? Do you like the autumn? What are the autumn traditions of your country?
6/12 The British Seaside: Here we will talk about one of the most typical and traditional British holiday destinations, the British seaside. With its piers, tidal beaches, and fish and chips! Where do you like to go on holiday? Are there any traditional holiday destinations in your country?
